Everyday Full Coverage Makeup Routine
Hey, hey! Today we are going to talk about my everyday makeup routine. I am someone who loves full coverage and glam makeup so that is what we are going to discuss today! As a mom I don’t always have time for a full face of makeup so it’s all or nothing for me😂 I have acne prone skin with scarring so I do like to cover my blemishes when doing my makeup which is why I don’t do “simple” and light coverage makeup, it just aint me🤷🏻♀️ Anywho, I also am sharing this over on my Instagram stories today so make sure to head there to see me apply all the products🥳
Base Products:
Before I apply any makeup at all, I always make sure to do my skincare! I cleanse my face, apply my SPF and finish with a moisturizer. Very simple but so important before beginning any makeup routine to ensure you are protecting your skin and prepping it!
Primer
I always start with my base products first so let’s talk about my favorite primer. I have been loving the Hard Candy Hydrating Primer . It gives my skin the perfect amount of hydration but also creates this tacky base that truly helps my foundation last throughout the day! I have combo/oily skin and I will say this DOES NOT mattify my skin but I do not mind that aspect since I generally use a pretty matte foundation.
Foundation
So, like I said before… I am all about that full coverage look but at the same I don’t want to feel like I’m wearing a mask of products. I have been enjoying the Covergirl Outlast Extreme Wear Foundation. This has medium coverage but can definitely be built up to full coverage, which is what I do! This foundation also has SPF 18 which is great for giving your skin that added protection from the sun. This foundation applies so easy and isn’t super thick, I like to apply mine with a beauty sponge to get the best finish. I keep wanting to try new foundations out but I keep coming back to this one!
Concealer
It took me awhile to step away from my favorite Covergirl concealer and try some new products but when I found the Wet n Wild Incognito Concealer, I fell in love! This concealer is medium coverage that can be built up to full coverage, although I don’t find myself needing to build it up and I have MAJOR dark circles😅 I have been allowing my concealer to sit on my under eyes for about 20-30 seconds before blending it out and I have found this helps the product melt into the skin easier and add more coverage! It is pure magic! This concealer has a semi matte finish and looks so pretty on the under eyes.
Under Eye Powder
I used to be an avid baker for my underlies but I have given up that life! I felt like my under eyes were starting to look so cakey and honestly I didn’t have time to let my under eye powder bake🤪 I use the Essence My Skin Perfector Loose Setting Powder in the shade 10 light. I apply this with a small brush and just tap this in wherever I place concealer to set that product and it gives me the perfect highlighted look for under my eyes!
Face Powder
Again, I love my full coverage so I always go in with a powder foundation to set the rest of my face. I use the NYX Stay Matte But Not Flat powder foundation. This not only sets my foundation with a smooth and matte finish, but it also gives me a little bit of extra coverage since it does have a color to it. This powder also helps my makeup last longer thorough out the day!
Setting Spray
After finishing all my base powders (before blush, bronzer and highlight) I go in and douse my face with the Colourpop Pretty Fresh Hydrating Setting Mist. This setting spray doesn’t necessarily make my makeup last longer but I love the way it melts all my powder and liquid together and just brings a little bit of hydration back to my very matte face😅 The mister on this bottle is PERFECT!
Eyes:
Eyeshadow Primer
I used to never go in with an eyeshadow and a few months back I just decided to experiment and see if it actually made a difference. I am here to tell you that eyeshadow primers make a world of a difference! I am currently loving the Believe Beauty Lock It In Eyeshadow Primer from Dollar General. You cannot purchase this online unfortunately but it is worth heading into your local DG for this product! It’s only $4.50 and makes my shadows blend easier and come out more pigmented!
Eye Shadow
My go-to eye look lately has been a warm neutral look! I actually use two separate eye shadow palettes because I like the mattes in one and the shimmers in the other. Colourpop’s eyeshadows have the best eyeshadow formula for such an affordable price! I have been using the Colourpop Wild Child palette recently for the mattes but have also been dipping into the Fenty Beauty Snapshadow palette in Type 1 Neutrals.
Eyeliner
I love a good winged eyeliner and yes that is part of my everyday makeup routine😆 The Wet n Wild Breakup Proof liquid eyeliner is the best brush tip liner that creates a super dark black wing and its also matte!
Lashes
So, most people might think I’m crazy but if I’m doing my makeup then I’m most likely wearing lashes. I don’t have the best natural lashes (probably because I wear lashes so much😅) so I love wearing my Ardell 113 Wispies for a pretty fluttery lash that still looks pretty “natural”. The band is pretty thin and really easy to apply! To prep my lashes, I curl them and use the Physician’s Formula Butter Blowout Mascara. This mascara does add volume and a little bit of length!
Bronzer, Blush & Highlight:
Bronzer and Blush
Bronzer and blush truly bring dimension and color to the face and I cannot go without it! I have been absolutely obsessed with the Jaclyn Cosmetic Blush and Bronzer Duo in the shade Pink Me Up\Oh Honey. These blend so beautifully on the skin and can be built up so this is perfect for someone who is a beginner with makeup. I cannot but this duo down and have already hit pan on the bronzer!
Highlight
I don’t care what anyone says, you can’t take away my highlight! I will forever strive to look like a glazed donut and have no shame in my highlight game🤩 I can’t stop using the Jaclyn Cosmetics Accent Light Highlighter in the shade Iced. Jaclyn really hit the nail on the head with these complexion products and they are 100% worth the price! This highlight is blinding and I live for it!
Brows:
I have been using the ELF Ultra Precise Brow Pencil and NYX Tinted Brow Mascara for over a year at this point and they never fail me! My brows could last through anything😂
Lips:
Lastly, we have lips! I use the Jaclyn Cosmetics Poutspoken Liquid Lipsticks in the shades Oh Hai and Empowered. Honestly… these are super drying on their own. I have to add my Wet n Wild Highshine Lipstick (its basically a gloss) in the shade Send Nudes.
And that is it for my everyday makeup routine! Yes, it’s a lot but that’s what I have been loving and what I do on an almost everyday basis! This is probably a more glam everyday makeup routine for most but it’s what makes me beautiful whenever I do apply makeup. I hope y9u guys enjoyed!💗
